Interview Summary

ひとみさのこうこうはたのしかったといっていました。volleyballをしましたから。ひとみさんのこうこうは七時はん午前にはじまて、五時午後におわだといっていました。ひとみさんは何もをべんきょうするのがすきでした、みなのクラスはとてもつまらなかったといっていました。ひとみさんはこうこうにしゅくだいをもらいませんでした、そして、しけんはやさしかったといっていました。ひとみさんはこうこうの時アルバイトがありませんでした。ひとみさんはこうこうの時、しゅうまつはたいていえいがに行ったといっていました。ひとみさんのこうこうはよくありませんでした。dress codeはよくありませんでしたから。ひとみさんはアメリカに行ったといっていました。


There don't seem to be a ton of differences between the Japanese school system and the American school system. After all they are teaching the same subjects. One difference I learned about from the interview is that some Japanese high schools start at about the same time as American schools, however, they end much later than American ones. Another difference is that many Japanese schools require strict dress codes (for example: no piercings), whereas in American strict dress codes are more for fancy private schools. One thing I would love to know more about when it comes to Japanese schools is if a typical day in class is the same as in American schools. Or, assuming they are different, how are they different.
